Artists from the Meuse-Rhine Euroregion now exhibit regularly in the Galeria Kaufhof/City car park.
Simply parking cars. Not anymore. APAG now also inspires its customers in the Galeria Kaufhof/City car park with art. Since 1 September, there have been three art windows on the wall of the former car wash in the exit area of the car park. Three artists from Euregio each present selected works for three months. Edith Bachmann, Sascha Bayer and Susanne Patzke kicked off the event.
Simon Papayianni, Managing Director of APAG: “With these art windows, we at APAG are promoting a view of the diverse art scene of our Euroregion. We want to create a direct link between the people who use our car parks and as many artists as possible. In keeping with the spirit of art and in keeping with our understanding as a socially committed company.”
APAG operates the art windows together with the art sponsors of LATER IS NOW. Nikos Geropanagiotis from LATER IS NOW: “A liveable environment also includes art and culture. Promoting this is always a good idea. APAG is setting a very good example here.”
The works of art are presented in ventilated showcases with safety glass and integrated lighting. 60 by 60 centimetres high and wide and 30 centimetres deep. Direct links and QR codes connect the showcases with the digital world. This provides viewers with further information on the works. Art enthusiasts and artists can find more information about the art windows at www.apag.de/de/kunstfenster.
